Your Home is Over 25 Years or Older.

Whether you’ve lived in your home for that long, or you just bought a home that old, it’s a good idea to get your electricity checked out for safety. An annual checkup – especially on an older home – is never a bad decision.

Two-Pronged Outlets.

Along the same line as the previous point, an older home may have two-pronged outlets instead of the more common three-pronged outlets. It’s well-worth your time and money to get these switched out if your home has them.

No Safety Switches.

Having Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) on your outlets in bathrooms and kitchens (any outlet near water) means your home is up to code. If these rooms or areas are lacking these switches, give us a call.

Installing a Ceiling Fan (or Other New Lighting Source).

Unless someone in your home is an experienced electrician, you may want to have a professional come and assist you with installing a new ceiling fan to ensure that all of the wiring is in its proper place.
